The 5 am Advisory indicates Erika will take a more
westerly track making landfall in South Florida and traveling up through the
center of the State. This track will keep Erika from becoming a hurricane. Based on this latest track, we will
maintain a “Ready” mode of operations. Remember any adjustments to the storm
patch that put this storm over warm water could increase the storm wind speeds,
Satellite Beach has completed all pre-storm
preparations and the Incident Management Team for the city is in a Steady
State.
